Marshmallow creme...or Not?

For the sake of their identities I will refer to my brothers as b#1 and b#2.  They are in no particular order so you won't be able to guess which is which.  Of course they know who they are and they can comment on this story if they so choose.

b#1 was sneaking around in the pantry to find something yummy to snack on and found a heavenly jar of Marshmallow creme.  He decided to dig in and was eating it by the spoonful. b#2 came along to investigate this tasty treat.  b#1 asked if b#2 wanted to have some too.  Of course b#2 wanted a spoonful as well.  So, b#1 in all his sneakiness, had him b#2 go make sure Mom wasn't coming so they wouldn't get in trouble.  While b#2 was doing as asked b#1 scooped him up a GREAT BIG spoonful of CRISCO.  Yep you got it....b#2 fell for it and put the entire spoonful in his mouth, only to spit out the horrible greasy yuck that was in his mouth.

Oh, how I have so many more stories from my childhood.  Keep in mind I am the sweet innocent girl in the middle with one brother older and one brother younger and of course my beautiful baby sister.  I just wanted to add that Cassie and I never did anything wrong.   LOL!!!

Camden has the croup....

Well, I spoke too soon about the boys being in school most of the day. This morning Camden aka CJ woke up with the nasty barking seal cough they call croup.  This is nothing new for us.  He actually had it so many times as a baby that the Doctors ran every test possible to find out what was causing it and couldn't find a reason.  He does not have a fever, just the cough so even though he sounds horrible and has a sore throat from coughing, he is fine and wants to play.  I kept him home from school and he is enjoying playing Big Buba's Nintendo DS.....shhhhh don't tell!!  Caleb will be MAD.

Julie I got your comment about a practical joke....I will have to think on that one.....I am not much of a jokester.   However my brothers were and I could tell you all plenty of their antics as children.  I wonder if they would be mad at me for posting them.  Do I care....hmmmmm.....Not so much.  I will post one in just a bit..

Blog Ideas....

I have been at a loss for blog post ideas of late.  The boys are in school most of the day and Catie Beth and I have fallen into a routine of cleaning and playing.  So not much going on at our place these days.  Maybe you all can ask me some questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability.  So, I am an open book.....you can ask me anything.  Either leave a comment or email me at cgrovermom@cox.net

Quote of the Day.....

A few days ago we were at the Good Will to drop off some out grown clothes.  Camden asked "Mom, why are we at the lost and found?"

Too Cute!!  It is kind of like a Great Big Lost and Found.  Oh to see the world through the eyes of a child.

We have a For Sale sign in our yard...

Well, friends.....reality set in today as the For Sale sign went up.  Such mixed emotions!!  Excited for the new journey, sadness for all we will have to leave behind and nervousness for the housing market.  We have known for a quite a while that we would be moving soon.  But, it took a For Sale sign for it to become real to me.  Moving is not new to us.  Selling a house is.  Once again I ask my friends and family to pray for our future.  Steve and I have been praying for months now that God would prepare the perfect buyers for our home and that they would be ready at exactly the right time.  Please join us as we pray this prayer.  God is good and God is faithful and He has never let us down.  Oh, and you might throw in a prayer that the boys will help me keep our house clean and ready to show at all times.

Love to all!!!

First realtor meeting....

Well, we met with a realtor today.  We really liked the realtor.  We will not be able to ask anything near what we had hoped, with the market in its current state things are just not looking good.  This is very confusing to me as we have been told that the market in our area is still in good shape.  Sales are down 18% but the market has remained stable.  I am praying for that perfect buyer that has been waiting for the "right" house to show up on the market.

God has it all under control so I am going to try my hardest to *NOT* worry.  We would be appreciative of any prayers lifted up on our behalf.

We are looking forward to a great weekend.  Hope everyone is doing well!!

Ding, Ding, Ding.....we have a winner.

Randa is correct.  You should win a prize!!  We are moving to Illinois.  We are headed to Scott AFB.  It is located about 20 miles east of St. Louis.  This job was definitely worth the wait.  I am sure Steve will be working a lot of hours.  But the payoff is great!!  If you want to know more about our new journey I will tell you personally or through e-mail.  I am a little leery to post this info on a public blog.  We are so excited to be on this new journey.  Oh, and our house will go on the market next week.  So if you know anyone looking for a nice home in our town please send them our way.

Clue #2

It is a big Air Force base in a state that starts with the letter *I*!  It is a very good job for Steve's career.  Not so great for family togetherness(is that a word).  But the schools are great!!!

We finally got our assignment...

So, we are no longer Alabama bound.  I will give you clues and you all will have to figure it out.  hmmmm.....lets see.....It is in the USA.  That is your clue for today.  Guess away!!

All mine!!

What's mine is mine!!

What's yours is mine!!
I think Catie Beth ruffled a few feathers last night.  She wanted all the candy for herself.  The boys finally got a taste of what having a baby sister is all about.  LOL!!!

Happy Halloween

We had a ton of fun last night.  The kids Trick-or-treated their little hearts out.  The best part was the after party.  The kids had more fun checking out their loot.
