A mystery to be solved....

It seems that an unidentified person has committed a crime in our new home.  No one actually saw this crime take place so put on your detective hat and see what you come up with.   One could say that the blame falls on the shoulders of this mom that I know.....but lets not give in that easily.  So lets look at the clues.....I was hanging pictures on the walls today (yes I know....it's about time....it has taken me a while to decide where I want things.....so get off my back already) when I noticed that there is a new creative touch to our family portrait....now this is where the fault may be with the mom....the wall decor had been left on the floor waiting for the right spot to reveal itself.

I am not sure you can see it very well....I have been working on the removal of the orange crayon marks all afternoon....until I decided this might be a blog worthy event.  Do you see it?

Now she may look like the sweetest little angel that you have ever seen, but don't let her cute charm fool you.....she is a little turkey....full of all the orneriness one could possibly muster.

Now you decide....Is it the fault of a very tired mom that left these items out for the taking?  Or was it the cute little angel that was up to no good?  

Now for the motive.....could it be that she was mad that she was not in the family portrait so she decided to draw herself in?  Or could it be that she is simply almost 2 and sharing her creative side with us?  Whatever the motive, I do wish she was in this picture, but at the time it was taken she had not been born yet, and we had just begun to pursue our dreams of adopting.  So I guess it is time to have a new family portrait taken.  

Email change again.....

Sorry everyone!!  I keep having trouble with my e-mail accounts.  My yahoo email address is being canceled per yahoo.  I guess they will no longer have free email accounts on yahoo briefcase.  Not even sure what that is,but I got an e-mail from them saying that as of March 30th that account will not longer exist.

Warm Welcome!!

We have had a warm welcome here in IL so far.  With in the first few hours of moving in to the house we had three neighbors stop by and introduce themselves and offer to help in any way possible.  That is so nice and much appreciated.  Tonight another neighbor stopped by to say "HI" and bring by some Amish friendship bread.  Do you think its bad if your new neighbor stops by and says "I noticed you moved in a few days ago, and saw that you have a lot of kids."?  LOL!!!!  It gave me a chuckle!!  I have reached the status of a LOT of kids!!  Funny!! I never even thought about that.  We must look like a lively bunch to people that do not know us.

We made it!!

It was a long day of driving, but we made it safe and sound with no major problems.  We are very tired tonight, but are looking forward to the next few days.  Tomorrow we sign our lease and get the key to our new house on base.  Our household goods have already arrived in IL and we have them scheduled to be delivered on Friday.  I will be happy to set up house and be back in business again.  I would be lying if I said that I am really excited.  Although, I am looking forward to the new adventure, I am already missing my house in KS.  ***SIGH***  Ouch, I put down some deeper roots than I thought.  

Sniff, Sniff......Sigh

It was a very emotional day for me....I really have no words.....just tears.....as much as I tried to say, "A house is a house, my family makes it a home, wherever that may be".....This became my home....and I will desperately miss it.  Oh snap, here come the tears again.
