Quote of the Day.....
"I hate being sick....barfing is from the Devil!!" ~Camden
Yes, my dear boy, I too think that vomit is of the Devil. Especially in the middle of the night.
I bet ya'll can guess what we were up to last night.
Camden is now on the mend. Please pray that nobody else gets this.

Another weekend has arrived....
With the exception of last Monday's showing, all our showings (all 6 of them) have been on the weekends. We never heard anything back about Monday's showing so the game is still on. Please pray that we have a few showings this weekend and that a buyer walks through the door very, very soon. We are having an open house on Sunday afternoon. So we will wait and see.

Just Because....She's so CUTE!!!
I have to post a picture of the boys too. This picture was taken two years ago while Steve was deployed. It happens to be one of my favorite pictures of the boys. Do you see those ice chunks behind them? That year we had a tremendous amount of winter weather. Of course Steve was gone and I had to chop all that ice off the driveway by myself. That my friends is three inches of sleet that froze together to make some nice HEAVY ice bricks for a very cool fort. My back still hurts from chopping. LOL!!

It rained...well maybe it drizzled.
Have you read my post from earlier today? I was babbling about preparing my fields for the rain. Well, I spent the morning cleaning the house and doing almost all the laundry. The house looked pretty good. I went to pick up the boys from school and while I was sitting in the parking lot I got a call from our agent. She had just gotten a call from another agent that wanted to show our house. The time was 3:15pm and the showing was scheduled for 4:30 pm. Guess what? B/c I prepared my field I was nearly ready for a short notice showing. I wasn't scrambling in the rain. Thank you Lord for preparing me for this afternoon!! Now, if only we could get an offer.
Quote of the Day.....
By CJ
yesterday we went to Dairy Queen for lunch. As we sat there eating our dessert. CJ declares "I know how to spell Ice Cream Mommy!" He had the biggest smile on his face. I said "How do you spell it" He replied "D.Q." I love it!! That should win a prize or something don't you think? CJ could be on the next DQ commercial.
A great start....Or not!!!
Well this week is off to a great start. I will start with a little background....I have been down about the sale of our house. I just knew it would be sold by now. Not So. Instead of celebrating the sale this weekend, we sat around keeping the house as clean as possible for when we got the call that there was a showing. I sat here in anticipation just knowing that God was going to come through with a buyer this weekend. Let me just come out and tell you....we didn't have a single showing this weekend. BUMMER!!
In church yesterday I was touched. I know that God has our best interests in mind. I do believe He will sell this house. After all he provides the money and the job to allow us to live in this house. So really it isn't even our house it is HIS. I was renewed and ready to start the week preparing for the buyers. After all, we need to prepare our fields for the rain. The wise man will get ready for the rain while a foolish man will sit around a complain that it hasn't rained yet. When the rain falls the wise man will be ready and the foolish man will have to scramble to get things done...in the rain. (I know this is a bad summery of the parable but you get the point right?)
I got up this morning and decided I would get the house as clean as possible and work on other little things I have been putting off. (Like wiping out the cabinet shelves.) I got the boys off to school, came back home and put Catie in her high chair to eat breakfast and decided to vacuum while she was contained.(she loves to Help vacuum...well really she likes to pull the cord behind me or stand in front of the vacuum and let me pretend to suck up her toes and giggle) Anyway, I got the vacuum out and set up. I went to turn it on and the switch is broken. It will start if I hold the button down but as soon as I let go it shuts off. So what did I do? Well, first I prayed that God would fix it. Then when that didn't work, I called my husband. After all this is an emergency right? He laughed at me and told me to tape the switch down and he would try to fix it tonight. AAAARRRRGGGGGGGG Satan.....Leave me alone!!!!!! I just want to prepare my fields in PEACE!!!!!!
I will tape down the silly button. Insert rolling eyes here.
Have a GREAT DAY!!!

Hunger!!!!
I AM HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I, like millions of Americans am on a diet. I have decided that I am done being fat. I can't fit into any of my clothes and I refuse to buy a larger size.
When we move we don't want first impressions of us to be tainted by our fluffiness. Vain, I know.....but lets be real here for a minute, it is the truth. So, Steve and I are on a diet. But, Dang it I am hungry all the time. It is killing me!!!! It will be worth it though RIGHT???? Who else is on a diet? Don't be shy, tell us how you are doing. Maybe, we can help each other out.

Christmas Funny!!
I was so busy over the Christmas season that I really didn't have time to blog. I had all the kids home from school for two weeks. Steve was home quite a bit too. I was going crazy trying to keep the house perfect (just in case we had a showing). Then we went out of town the weekend after Christmas and didn't have Internet access. Is that enough excuses?
Anyway, back to the Funny. On Christmas morning our house was a flurry of activity at 5:30 am. They boys were so excited that Santa had come. Santa brought Caleb a motor scooter and an Air Hog Helicopter. He brought both Cody and Camden Nintendo DS's and Air Hog Helicopters. He brought Caitlyn a sweet Little Tykes Grow with Me kitchen. Soooo cute!!
So after the *AWE* moment was over and the boys were checking out their loot, Cody declares that Santa really was here. He could smell the peppermint on Caleb's new motor scooter. So all the boys had to go over to the scooter and take a whiff. Yep, that's right folks.....Santa smells like peppermint...Just ask Cody.
More prayers please!!
Here is a link to my Aunt Cindy's Caring Bridge page. Please keep Cindy and her family in your prayers. She still has such a long road to recovery. Thanks

Happy Birthday Cody!!
Okay so I have already lost the Mother of the year award for this year and we are only four days in. Yesterday was Cody's Birthday. My sweet boy is 8!!! It was a busy weekend and I didn't accomplish the Birthday that I had envisioned for him. But I do think he had a good time. The birthday festivities started on Friday night. Cody had his friend Jonah spend the night. We had homemade pizza and Steve took all the boys to the movie A Bedtime Story. When the boys returned I had cupcakes ready for them. We sang Happy Birthday and Cody blew out the candle on his cupcake. Saturday morning we got up and made the kids clean house. Not a fun thing to do on your birthday weekend with a friend over. But, we had two showings on our house that day and things had to look good. So we got the house in good shape and took the boys to lunch at HuHot. If you haven't tried it yet you should. It is YUMMY!! After lunch we took Jonah home and crashed in on Lisa (Jonah's mom) while we waited for our second showing to be done. We then drove around until we thought they were done. LONG STORY!! To make the story short, the lookers were very late and showed up after we already came back home. So we piled back in the van and drove around again for a while. For dinner I made Cody's favorite meal....spaghetti. On Sunday (Cody's actual birthday) we went to church and then let Cody pick what he wanted for lunch. He picked Playa Azul a local Mexican joint here in town. He was sung to, and even got whipped cream smeared on his face. I am not sure he truly enjoyed that but we all had a good laugh. We returned home and he opened his gifts. Then later in the afternoon Uncle Tim came over with another gift. So even though he didn't have a party per say....I think he made out pretty well. My biggest regret is that my camera is acting up and I can't get it to keep a charge so I didn't even get one picture of his 8th birthday. Bummer!!! Happy Birthday to my Sweet Cody!!!!!!
