Making fun Crayons....

It was a beautiful day yesterday but little CJ was sick and we couldn't get out. We tried to make it a fun afternoon for the boys. I saw this craft idea on my friend Erin's blog so we thought we would give it a try. We took old broken crayons and peeled off the paper wrapper. Then we put the crayons in a nonstick muffin pan. We baked them for 10 min at 350 and then put them in the freezer for a bit to help them harden.
The boys had a ton of fun. Peeling, breaking and melting crayons is a boys dream come true.

M & M did that at school one year in art. They used the star shaped foil pans for mini-cakes, too. They thought it was a blast! We should do that at church sometime. You get the "Fun Mom" award for the week! LOL

Yours turned out so much better than mine! Looks like your crew had fun in spite of the rain.
