Show us Where You Live...Living room edition

We are a military family living on a military base.  This Friday I will be giving you a tour of  my living room and family room.  Both rooms still need a little work...but we have to wait until our house in KS sells before I can buy things like curtains and extra decor.

There are several items that have a lot of meaning to us in our living room.  First is the quilt.  My Grandma made this beautiful double wedding ring quilt for my husband and I as a wedding gift.  It will always be cherished.  Second is the Americana Barn Star, this was painted by a friend and given to us by our Sunday School class after Steve's last deployment.  Third is the painting in the Corner. (I wish I was at home right now to take a closer picture of it.  But, I am out of town and took these pics before I left.)  It was painted by the same friend that painted the star.  It was also given as a gift from our Sunday School Class.  This time, at our going away brunch.  We recently (7 weeks ago) moved.

My favorite chair...I spend most of my "down time" here.
This is our family room sofa.  I have recently found a very large Beautiful mirror that I would like to purchase for the empty wall.  But, like I mentioned before we have to wait on God's timing for our KS house to sell before we can buy anything new.  The door at the right leads to our Mud/laundry room.
