Thursday night we had baseball games. That is always a crazy adventure.
Friday we tried (I say that loosely) to clean up the house a bit. Cody ended up in the ER with another asthma attack. He is back on Orapred but is doing fine. A little wild and crazy but otherwise fine.
Saturday was Caleb's 10th birthday. So we, along with Heather, and Tim and Kelly (Steve's brother and his friend) all went out for dinner at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate. Caleb was so excited to get on the saddle and have everyone sing to him. Then when the time came he was so embarrassed and shy.
After dinner we all came back to the house and we had surprise visitors. Grandma and PaPa (My parents) came from Nebraska to visit and celebrate Caleb's birthday. We had cake and Caleb got to open his presents.
Caleb wanted a baseball cake. He wanted it to be homemade and he wanted it to look like a baseball field with a baseball that was hit out of the park. LOL!!! This is my sad attempt at cake decorating. I see cake decorating 101 in my future. I had to try b/c my baby boy asked for it and it did taste really good.
On Sunday we slept in b/c we were up a lot in the night. CJ started having some Asthma/croup issues (Oh how we love the spring and allergies). Then we spent some of the day showing my parents around Wichita. They will be staying with the boys when we are gone to Korea so we showed them all our important places like the DR.'s office, baseball fields, church, airport and other places that we frequent. We plan on dropping everything and getting on a plane pretty quickly after we get our travel call. So it was very helpful for them to come down and let us show them around ahead of time.
Then today we had a HUGE lunch. Steve made ribs and my mom and I made potato salad, yummy green beans, baked beans, and watermelon. I love a good holiday get together. We had a blast. My parents just left and are headed home. With any luck they will be right back in a week or so. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare to travel. Please pray for Catie. She is going on 10 months old and is extremely attached to her foster mother. She will grieve for her when we bring her home. We are praying for an easy transition.
